Itinerary

Arrival In Kathmandu And Transfer To The Hotel (1400 M)
Altitude1,400 m

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), one of our representatives will be waiting to warmly welcome you. After a brief meet and greet, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can check in, freshen up, and relax after your journey.

In the evening, we will meet you for a traditional Nepali welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Nepali cuisine and meet your trekking team. Since the adventure begins early the following day, we recommend keeping your essential trekking items in a separate daypack or bag so everything you need is easy to access.

Fly From Kathmandu To Lukla And Trek To Phakding (2160 M)
Altitude2,610 m

After an early breakfast, begin your Himalayan adventure with an exciting scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The short flight offers incredible bird’s-eye views of green valleys, winding rivers, rolling hills, and the Himalayan ranges gradually rising in the distance. As the aircraft approaches Lukla, the dramatic mountain landscape and famous hillside runway make the landing an unforgettable part of the journey.

After landing at Lukla (2,840 m), complete the necessary permit formalities and begin your first day of trekking toward Phakding (2,610 m). The trail is relatively easy, passing through peaceful mountain settlements, green forests, and a mix of dirt, stone, and rocky paths. Along the way, cross several suspension bridges and follow the beautiful Dudh Koshi River. Take your time, enjoy the fresh mountain air, and soak in the scenery as you make your way to Phakding for a relaxing evening.

Trek To Namche Bazaar (3440 M)
Altitude3,440 m

After breakfast, follow the Dudh Koshi River north through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests toward Namche Bazaar. The trail passes through charming Sherpa villages such as Benkar, Monjo, and Jorsale, with several suspension bridges offering wonderful views of the rushing river and surrounding mountains.

After crossing the final bridge, the trail begins a steady and challenging climb toward Namche Bazaar. Along the way, keep an eye on the mountains—on a clear day, you may catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest, rising behind the impressive Nuptse-Lhotse ridge. Continue the final ascent to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), the vibrant heart of the Khumbu and the traditional capital of the Sherpa people. Settle into your lodge, relax, and enjoy your first evening in this lively mountain town.

Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar
Altitude3,810 m

Today is an important acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), giving your body time to adjust to the higher altitude while you explore this lively Sherpa town. Take a relaxed walk through the colorful streets, browse local souvenir and trekking shops, or enjoy a coffee at one of the town’s cafés with mountain views.

For a more active day, explore the surrounding trails and visit places such as Hillary School, traditional Sherpa settlements, Syangboche Airport, and local yak farms. One of the highlights is the hike to Everest View Hotel, where, weather permitting, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks. Return to Namche for a relaxing evening and prepare for the trail ahead.

Trek to Phorche (3,840m / 12,598ft).

Today, leave the busier Everest trail behind and take a quieter route toward the beautiful traditional Sherpa village of Phortse (3,810 m). The trail winds through peaceful pine and rhododendron forests, passing Buddhist stupas, mani walls, and scenic viewpoints along the way. As you walk, enjoy spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks.

Arriving in Phortse offers a wonderful opportunity to experience authentic Sherpa mountain life away from the main trekking route. The village is known for producing many successful Everest climbers and has a strong mountaineering tradition. Explore the village, learn about local culture, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before settling into your lodge for the evening.

Trek to Dingbuche (4,410m / 14,500ft).
Altitude4,410 m

Today, the landscape begins to change as you leave Phortse and walk through peaceful mossy forests and open mountain terrain. Cross the Imja River and pass beautiful Buddhist mani stones decorated with traditional prayers. As you climb higher, the views become more dramatic, with Ama Dablam rising impressively above the valley.

Continue toward Dingboche (4,410 m), one of the most important villages in the Everest region. At this altitude, you may begin to notice the effects of the thinner air, so take the walk slowly and stay well hydrated. Our experienced guides will monitor your condition throughout the trek and help you adjust comfortably to the increasing altitude.

Spend the day at Dingboche for acclimatization.
Altitude5,000 m

Today is an important acclimatization day in Dingboche (4,410 m), giving your body time to adjust before heading toward even higher elevations. After breakfast, you can take an optional hike up Nangkartshang Peak (5,100 m). The climb is steep and challenging, but the effort is rewarded with spectacular views of Makalu, Lhotse, Cholatse, Tawoche, and Ama Dablam.

The hike to the summit takes around 3-4 hours, depending on your pace and conditions. If you prefer a shorter walk, you can climb partway up and still enjoy excellent mountain views. After returning to Dingboche, enjoy a late lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing, staying hydrated, and allowing your body to acclimatize for the journey ahead.

Trek to Labuche (4,930m / 16,175ft).
Altitude4,910 m

After breakfast, leave Dingboche and follow the trail uphill toward Thukla. The path climbs steadily past a beautiful chorten and through the open valley, with impressive mountain scenery surrounding you. At Thukla, take a short break for tea and a snack before continuing toward the challenging Thukla Pass.

The climb to the pass is steep, but reaching the top is a memorable experience. Here, you will find a series of memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives in the Himalayas, creating a peaceful and deeply moving place to pause and reflect. From the pass, enjoy spectacular views of the peaks along the Nepal–Tibet border.

From Thukla Pass, the trail becomes easier as you follow the valley toward Lobuche (4,910 m), a small mountain settlement with several teahouses. If you still have energy in the afternoon, take a short walk toward the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier and enjoy the incredible mountain scenery. If the weather is clear, don't miss the unforgettable sunset glowing over Nuptse.

Trek To Lobuche Peak Glacier Camp (5600 M)
Altitude5,600 m

Today, leave Lobuche and make your way toward Lobuche Peak Base Camp through rugged and increasingly challenging high-altitude terrain. The trail crosses the Lobuche Glacier, with rocky paths, icy sections, and spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Take your time and follow your climbing guide carefully as you gain elevation.

After reaching Base Camp, your climbing team will help you get familiar with the climbing gear and equipment. You will have time to practice essential techniques and prepare for the summit day ahead. Tonight, stay in a comfortable mountain tent, with two climbers sharing one tent. A separate tent will be arranged for the kitchen, dining area, and bathroom facilities.

As you are now at a much higher altitude, the risk of altitude-related problems increases. Walk slowly, drink plenty of water, eat well, and communicate openly with your guide and team about how you are feeling. A steady pace and proper rest are essential for a safe and successful summit attempt.

Summit Lobuche East Peak (6119 M) And Trek Back To Thukla

Today is the biggest and most exciting day of your Lobuche East Peak adventure. Wake up shortly after midnight, have a light breakfast, and prepare for the summit push. Starting early gives us the best chance of reaching the summit in favorable morning conditions and enjoying clear Himalayan views. With your climbing gear ready, begin the ascent over snow, ice, and rocky terrain, following the guidance of your experienced climbing team.

After several hours of challenging climbing, reach the summit of Lobuche East Peak (6,119 m). Take a moment to celebrate your achievement and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Pumori, Cholatse, and the magnificent Khumbu Himalaya. After taking photos and enjoying the summit, begin your descent toward Thukla (Dughla), a small settlement near the end of the Khumbu Glacier. Thukla is also known for its moving climber memorials, honoring those who lost their lives in the Himalayas. Arrive at the camp, rest, and enjoy a well-earned evening after an unforgettable summit day.

Spare Day In Case Of Contingency

This day is kept as a flexible contingency day in case of unexpected weather, health concerns, route conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. If everything goes as planned, we can use the day to rest, explore the surroundings, or enjoy the mountain scenery.

The day is allocated for contingencies like bad weather, health conditions, and other unforeseeable events.

Trek To Tengbuche Monastery (3867 M)

After the successful Lobuche East summit and a well-earned rest in Thukla, continue your journey toward Tengboche (3,867 m). The trail descends through beautiful alpine landscapes, forests, and traditional mountain settlements, with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Everest, Lhotse, and other Himalayan peaks along the way.

Arrive at Tengboche, one of the most beautiful villages in the Khumbu region and home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest and most important Buddhist monastery in the Everest region. Take some time to explore the monastery, soak in the peaceful atmosphere, and enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery surrounding the village.

On this day, our trek begins from Tengbuche to Namche after early morning breakfast. The trail is gorgeously overwhelming as it takes us through the Rhododendron Forests, Alpine trees of pine, and Junipers. Further ahead, we cross the Dudh Koshi River and follow the gorge through dense coniferous forest. Traveling along a steep rugged path up and down and twisting on numerous curves, we finally reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital to rest overnight.

After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, descend to the famous Hillary Bridge and continue walking to Manju, Phakding, and Lukla.
Today is your last night in the mountains, and it is customary to have a small party with all your trekking crew and members. You can offer some drinks and food for your hardworking crew to make the last evening more memorable for the entire team. You can also express your gratitude to all crew members with some tips, which will make them happier and bring you a different kind of happiness.

We fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to our hotel.
During the spring and April, the return from Lukla will fly back to Manthali on one of the first flights of the day (approximately 7-7:30 am) to allow for the 5-6 hour bus transfer back to Kathmandu arriving in the city for the mid-late afternoon.

Today marks your final day with Community Trek, and we hope your time in Nepal has been filled with incredible memories. After a delicious breakfast, you'll be free from our program to explore independently, pursue any remaining interests, or simply relax and reflect on your unforgettable journey.

My team successfully summited Labuche Peak in 2019, and Team Ramesh proved to be exceptionally professional. They not only organized everything for us but also ensured our safety during the climb. Some of our team members were first-time climbers in the high Himalayas, and they reached the summit of Labuche Peak without any problems. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Team Ramesh for turning our team's dream into reality. If anyone loves to climb Labuche Peak and other mountains, we highly recommend Team Ramesh with a five-star rating.

A Five-Star Lobuche East Climbing Experience

Choosing Community Trek for our Lobuche East Peak expedition was the best decision we made. From the moment we arrived in Nepal, everything was perfectly organized. The guides shared their knowledge, motivated us every day, and always put our safety first. Climbing to 6,119 meters was physically demanding, but their support gave us the confidence to reach the summit. Standing above the Khumbu surrounded by Everest and countless Himalayan peaks was unforgettable. We highly recommend Community Trek for a safe, professional, and life-changing climbing experience.
